Hampstead School, founded in 1925, is an English‑language elementary school within the English Montreal School Board. Our school serves not only the Hampstead community but a diverse and multicultural student population representing a wide range of socio‑economic backgrounds, including international students from countries all around the globe. The school is committed to inclusive education and offers a range of programs and services designed to support the learning and well‑being of all students. Notre histoire

Hampstead School was established in 1925 and is an English‑language elementary school within the English Montreal School Board, which was created in 1998 following the reorganization of school boards along linguistic lines in Quebec. Located in the municipality of Hampstead, the school operates as part of the EMSB network serving the Island of Montreal. Hampstead School has implemented the Success for All (SFA) literacy program as part of its instructional practices to support student learning in language arts. This model benefits from both advanced students and students with learning difficulties, that all students proceed at their own pace.

Notre communauté d'élèves

Hampstead School serves a diverse student population representing a wide range of cultural, ethnic, religious, and socio‑economic backgrounds. Students attend the school from several areas within our territory, including Hampstead, Notre‑Dame‑de‑Grâce, and Côte St-Luc. The school is committed to an inclusive educational model that integrates students with special needs into the regular classroom setting and applies a range of instructional approaches, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), differentiated teaching, collaborative learning, and social-emotional learning to support student growth.

L'école Hampstead s'engage à suivre un modèle d'inclusion afin de répondre au mieux aux besoins de tous les élèves, intégrant ainsi les enfants ayant des besoins particuliers à l'effectif scolaire régulier. L'école Hampstead continue d'accueillir des élèves provenant de divers autres établissements. La communauté scolaire est fière du fait que les apprenants avancés y trouvent un programme enrichi et stimulant adapté à leurs habiletés.

Un partenariat maison-école réussi

Les parents et les enseignants travaillent en collaboration pour que les enfants apprennent que les conséquences de leur comportement sont le résultat des choix liés au comportement. Les parents doivent être conscients des actions de leur enfant à l'école afin de faire partie du processus de socialisation de l'éducation partagée.

Les parents prennent part au Conseil d'établissement et à l' organisme de participation des parents (PPO). They also volunteer in the library & office, help organize activities and family events, as well as, various school fundraisers
